Twitter, owned by Elon Musk, has cut at least 50 more jobs. The information was published in US-based technology publication The Information on Monday (February 27). However, the Twitter authorities refused to comment on this matter.

Al-Jazeera, a Qatar-based media outlet, reported on Saturday (February 25) that Elon laid off staff from Twitter. Citing people with knowledge of the matter, The Information reports that Elon’s stubborn decision has negatively affected remaining employees.

Elon Musk bought the ownership of Twitter on October 28 this year after various dramas. At that time, the social media platform had 7,500 employees. But within a week of taking ownership, he laid off 50 percent of Twitter’s workforce.

At that time, 3 thousand 700 workers were laid off from Twitter at once. There was a lot of criticism around the world. The reason for such a big change, Elon said, is that Twitter’s income and revenues have decreased significantly, but expenses have increased several times. So there is no way to sustain the company except layoffs.

After the first layoff of nearly 4,000 workers, many thought that Elon might not make any rash decisions. But in February this year, he laid off about 800 employees of Twitter’s advertising and marketing department.

Recently, on February 16, the Twitter authorities closed the offices located in Mumbai and Delhi among the three offices in India. From the headquarters, the employees in these offices were ordered to work from home.
