Sonja Morgan Explains Why She Doesn’t Eat Fried Testicles in ‘Welcome to Crappie Lake’: “I Don’t Eat ‘Em, I Lick ‘Em”

Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan had a ball at the 12th Annual Testicle Festival — literally.

In the latest episode of Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake, titled “The Belles of the Balls,” the BFF duo takes a little break from fixing up the small town of Benton to attend the Testy Festy — where people travel from all over to eat fried testicles, including one lucky couple who spends each anniversary at the event.

“This is my kind of event. First of all, you walk in and all the guys are wearing cowboy hats and boots and tight jeans, nice butts everywhere,” Morgan says. “The only thing I’m not sure about today is the balls part.”

Taste-testing ends up being a hard no from Morgan, who candidly tells the attendees, “The only balls I’m interested in are attached to a man. I don’t eat ‘em, I lick ‘em.”

With Morgan out of the question, de Lesseps opts to take one for the team. Not only does she try the turkey testicle, which looks like a chicken nugget, but she goes back for seconds with the beef testicle.

“All fried things kind of taste like chicken,” de Lesseps explains in her confessional. “There’s a certain slime factor to balls that chicken doesn’t have.”

Meanwhile, Morgan speculates that her fellow Real Housewives of New York City alum may just be going nuts without getting any action. She jokes, “I do feel bad for Lu. Six weeks and no D is not something she’s used to. At this point, Luann will eat any balls she meets.”

While de Lesseps describes the cuisine as “delicious” in the episode, she recently told Decider that it actually tasted like “the worst fried chicken you’ve ever had in your life.” But, hey, when in Rome!

Fortunately, the cabaret star’s Listerine breath spray was there to save the day just in time for her and Morgan to compete in the Undie 300 — a relay in which competitors put on tighty-whities and race to the finish line on none other than blue balls. Bouncy balls, of course.

Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake airs on Sunday nights at 10/9c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
