Pakistan is plunged into darkness

A Pakistani news agency reported that there was no electricity in many areas of Karachi and Lahore. There is no electricity in 22 districts of Balochistan including Quetta. Metro services were also affected due to the power outage, causing difficulties for commuters. Power supply to 117 stations of the Islamabad Electricity Supply Company network was also disrupted, plunging the entire city and Rawalpindi into complete darkness.

Technical error on the transmission line

Power outages have occurred in many districts including 22 districts of Balochistan such as Quetta, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Karachi. People in Mall Road, Canal Road and other areas of Lahore are facing a power outage crisis. Officials said they were looking into the matter. According to reports, a technical glitch in the transmission line caused power outages in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and the capital city.
