Here’s a sure-fire twist on the current feud between former Pink Floyd bandmates Roger Waters and David Gilmour.

Waters re-recorded Pink Floyd’s classic rock epic “The Dark Side of the Moon” without the help of any of the band members who helped produce the album with him, the musician said in a Feb. 4 interview. Musicians have argued since Waters left the band after the release of “The Final Cut” in 1985, the follow-up to the smash hit “The Wall.” He famously sued – and lost – the remaining members for continuing to use the band’s name.
Lately, anger has been brewing between the former bandmates.

But Waters said in a Berliner Zeitung interview — translated and posted on Waters’ website — that “the new concept is meant to reflect on the meaning of the work, to bring out the heart and soul of the album,” he added, “musically and spiritually.”
Waters added: “I’m the only one singing my songs on this new recording, and there are no rock and roll guitar solos.”
According to The Telegraph, the album will be released in May.
