Patriots’ linebacker Matthew Judon stood by teammate Jack Jones following the cornerback’s arrest at Logan Airport on Friday night.

“Don’t let someone’s low light be you own high light,” Judon said in a Twitter response. “We help this turns out better for the kid.”

The 2022 fourth-round pick is facing charges of possession of a concealed weapon in a security area of an airport, possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card, unlawful possession of a firearm and carrying a loaded firearm as well as possession of a large-capacity feeding device after two firearms were found in Jones’ carry-on luggage at the Boston airport.

Jones now awaits his arraignment in East Boston District Court sometime this week.

His bail was reportedly $50,000.

Last month, Jones tweeted at the Memphis Grizzlies’ Ja Morant about his gun-use online.

Morant was recently suspended for 25-games by the NBA after brandishing what appeared to be a gun in a live-streamed video for the second time in three months.

“@JaMorant dumb.. you letting social media and yo pride ruin yo real money. Put them guns down and run that money up. Make one of yo homies sign up for security or concealed carry if you feel like you need it that bad.. but you the bread winner you gotta start acting like it..” Jones’ May 15 tweet read

Judon responded to a screenshot of Jones’ tweet posted by NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, who noted the social media missive “didn’t age well.”

The Patriots have been monitoring the situation themselves, releasing a statement after Jones’ reported arrest.

“We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time,” the organization said.

In the 2022 season, Jones posted 25 unassisted tackles, one forced fumble, two interceptions and six defended passes.
