Meghan Markle may have been our very own American princess, but it’s her British prince whom the US loves most.

According to a new poll conducted by Newsweek, Prince Harry, 38, is slightly more popular than his wife, 42 — at least, among those surveyed in the US.

The poll asked 1,500 adults between September 3 and 4 their feelings about the ex-royals, finding that 33% of people reported their dislike for Markle, while a rivaling 31% said the opposite.

This gives her a net approval rating of -2, according to the outlet.

The former “Suits” star is down eight points from the outlet’s last royal poll that took place in June.

On the other hand, The Duke of Sussex was liked by 39% of people and disliked by 27%.

Nevertheless, Harry has also seen a drop in fan approval since June, when he was at +18 — now, coming in at a net approval of +12.

Newsweek reported that Markle seems to be more popular with those aged 18-26, who gave her an overall rating of +19.

However, Boomers, aged 57-75 gave her a -7 rating.

Like his wife, Prince Harry is more popular with the Gen X age range, coming in at a +17 rating, while boomers gave him a +13 rating.

The Post reached out to the Sussex’s representatives for comment.

The poll came just days before the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death at the age of 96, which took place on Friday.

The monarch, who had reigned for 70 years at her passing, died on September 8, 2022, at her beloved summer residence in Scotland, Balmoral Castle.

Prince Harry was in London last week during the first anniversary of his grandmother’s passing, stopping there along the way to the 2023 Invictus Games in Germany.

While in the U.K., he attended the WellChild Awards, an annual celebration for a charity benefitting seriously ill children and the professionals who help care for them.

During the celebration, he gave a speech and honored the late Queen, telling the crowd that she was “looking down on all of us.”

“As you know, I was unable to attend the awards last year as my grandmother passed away,” the red-headed royal, who has supported the charity for over a decade, told the audience, according to People.

“As you also probably know, she would have been the first person to insist that I still come to be with you all instead of going to her.”

He continued, “And that’s precisely why I know, exactly one year on, she is looking down on all of us tonight, happy we’re together continuing to spotlight such an incredible community.”

Earlier this month, the couple, who recently bought the rights to the book “Meet Me at the Lake,” by Carley Fortune, to turn it into a film for Netflix, were spotted dancing the night away at Beyoncé’s concert in Los Angeles.

Prince Harry danced to the Grammy winner’s 2003 hit “Crazy In Love,” while Markle, who wore a sequined silver skirt, swung her hair back and forth to the beat.
