In a letter written to the Chief Justice, Imran said that the conspiracy to kill him started only after he was removed from power in April 2022. He blamed Pakistan’s current Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Interior Minister for this act. A few months ago, Imran was shot in the leg in a surprise attack. Referring to that context, Imran claims that plans are being made to kill him again.

Imran also said in that letter that Pakistan government has registered 74 cases against him due to political revenge. Therefore, he claimed that his security is necessary to protect basic rights like the right to life. Last Sunday morning, the news of the police coming to arrest Imran Khan went viral. It is heard that police are coming to Lahore from Islamabad and Karachi. He will be arrested from Imran’s house. However, Imran’s supporters did not clarify whether the police had the information about Imran’s house or not. But his supporters surrounded Imran’s Zaman Park house in Lahore on hearing the arrival of the police. The police came there at noon. Avoiding the crowd of supporters entered the house. But Imran was not found there. After searching the entire house, the police said, “The SP (Superintendent of Police) went to Imran’s house. A large police team came to arrest him. But Imran was not there.”

During his tenure as Prime Minister, Imran was accused of selling the gifts received from various heads of state at high prices without depositing them in the government treasury. This is why the Election Commission of Pakistan has banned Imran from participating in the electoral process for five years. Imran filed an appeal against the commission’s decision in the Islamabad High Court last October. He did not appear in several hearings of the case against him after it was later dismissed. On that charge, the police reached Imran’s Zaman Park house in Lahore on Sunday from Islamabad to arrest him. Imran, who is currently on anticipatory bail in this case, may appear in court on March 9, according to PTI sources.
