You’ll never know what you’ll find!

A TikTok user, known as Tommylips, unearthed a new way to make a new “best friend” when he discovered a five-year-old college diploma at Goodwill.

In a previous TikTok video, Tommylips shared that one of his favorite places to check out at Goodwill is the book section where he “always checks big books like Harry Potter.”

While browsing the shelves a Star Wars book caught Lip’s attention and was shocked when he found a college diploma inside the pages of a book.

Little did he know this would lead to the start of a new friendship.

He searched on Instagram for its owner — a man named Jacob Calabrese, according to the video — but failed to receive a response to his message.

The search continued to find Calabrese on LinkedIn.

Lips eventually heard back from Calabrese who messaged back saying “Sounds like me, can you send a picture?’

The diploma read Calabrese’s name and his school, “California State University, Northridge” from 2018.

After confirming the diploma really did belong to him, he offered to pay Lips to ship him his diploma along with the book.

Lips requested $69 from Calabrese on Venmo as a joke, but he completed his request.

As a joke, Lips requested $69 on Venmo but his soon-to-be friend completed the request anyway.

Lips then worked hard to build a package that he felt was worth the extra cash.

To go along with the book, he filled the package with multiple “Star Wars” figures including BB-8, a Chewbacca key chain, a Yoda sticker, and a vintage Watto stuffed animal.

Staying on theme, Lips wrote a message on a “Star Wars” birthday card that said “Happy early/belated birthday! Thanks for the Mems.”

He stuffed the card with a gift card to Chilis and completed the message, “ps I hope you like Chilis.”

The Star Wars book, diploma, card, and figures were put in a box and sent to Calabrese.

Three days after sending out the package, Calabrese sent a selfie to show he was reunited with his diploma.

The video has received over 370,000 views and 52,000 likes since it was posted Tuesday.

In the comments, people were touched by the story with messages including, “Seriously so nice of you to do that” and “Wait this is the best story ever. A genuine happy ending.”

Others are wanting the two new best friends to meet and are curious about how the diploma ended up at Goodwill in the first place.
