A 28-year-old man is fighting for his life after being shot in the head in the middle of one of Manhattan’s most bustling nightlife districts Sunday morning.
The shooting happened at 3 a.m. at Stanton Street and Orchard Street on the Lower East Side, police said.
The unnamed victim was critically injured after being shot twice — in the head and the midsection according to police.
Authorities were looking for the shooter, who remained in the wind.

It was unclear what led to the violence.
The crime scene was within spitting distance of many popular nightlife venues that were clogged with revelers when shots erupted.
