Kohli needed 42 runs to reach 4000 Test runs on home soil. He reached the milestone by hitting four off Nathan Lion on Saturday. Kohli took 77 innings to score 4000 runs in Tests in the country. Sunil Gaoskar and Rahul Dravid if toppled. Gaoskar completed 4000 Test runs on home soil from 87 innings and Dravid from 88 innings. Kohli’s Test average on domestic soil was 58.82 when he reached this milestone. In this he is on top.
