[ad_1]

Digital manga service Azuki has announced that Kodansha’s simulpub manga distribution program will be suspended on its platform starting January 16, 2023. Current Kodansha manga simulpublished on other platforms like Crunchyroll Manga will also be affected, due to a policy change from the Japanese publisher.

Previous simulpub chapters of certain Kodansha manga series will be removed on January 31, 2023. The full list of chapters that will be affected includes:

  • A Sign of Affection Chapters 20-32
  • Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Chapters 50-69
  • Drifting Dragons Chapters 57-78
  • EDENS ZERO Chapters 132-222
  • Space Brothers Chapters 377-395
  • The Ghost in the Shell: The Human Algorithm Chapters 20-54
  • The World of Summoning Chapters 1-11
  • To Your Eternity Chapters 147-165.2
  • Toppu GP Chapters 29-79
  • UQ HOLDER! Chapters 181-192
  • Wave, Listen to Me! Chapters 65-86

Some early non-simulpub chapters of the series listed above, as well as non-simulpub series on the app, will remain on the service. Azuki has also stated that a big announcement will be released from their end very soon.

The Azuki app featured over 200 manga series on its service, including Attack on Titan and My Dear Detective: Mitsuko’s Case Files. Simulpub chapters are released on the app on the same day as Japan. Azuki has also licensed its own exclusive manga such as Hikaru in the Light! and Turning the Tables on the Seatmate Killer!. All titles are available worldwide, except in Japan.

Azuki is available on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. It can be accessed free with advertisements or a premium account for US$4.99. A 14-day free trial and discounted annual plan are also available.
