Just Stop Oil climate protestors block desperate mother trying to take child to hospital in London

British environmental activists demonstrating on the roads of west London Friday blocked a desperate mother who claimed she needed to cut through the crowd to take her child to the hospital.

“I have got a baby in my car and we have to get to the hospital!” the frustrated mom shouts at a Just Stop Oil activist while pointing to her stalled car.

Despite her pleas, the man continued to stand directly in front of her car while other stalled vehicles honked at the crowd to disperse.

“Move now! Now!” the distressed mother yelled at one activist.

She rushed back to her car as other stopped cars honk for the crowd to move, but the orange-vest-clad group maintains the line covering the entire width of the street as they slowly march in protest.

Other videos taken at the protests show fed-up bystanders pushing demonstrators and ripping signs from their hands.

The JSO said 160 protesters were taking action at locations throughout the city to demand that the UK government end all new oil and gas licenses.

In addition to storming the streets of London, protesters bearing signs that read “We will not die quietly” also staged a silent sit-in in the lobby of the Fortnum & Mason department store.

Several members of the environmental group — including one carrying a flare — also briefly interrupted play at the British Open by throwing orange powder beside the 17th green at Royal Liverpool.

American golfer Billy Horschel, who was playing the hole, helped security lead one of the protesters away before they could continue their antics.

Local police said in a statement that two men and two women were detained “on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage and public nuisance.”

One of the men involved told The Telegraph he rushed onto the green in hopes of invoking change for a better future.

“How many more children fleeing wildfires do we need to see before we do something?” Hailey Birch, 19, a student from Leicestershire said.

“This is not the world I want to live in and I will not be complicit in allowing this Government to carry on with their genocidal policies.”

Multiple other demonstrators were taken into custody this week in connection to a string of demonstrations across the city.

It has also interrupted a slew of major sporting events in Britain, including Wimbledon, an Ashes cricket test and the world snooker championship.

Since JSO launched its campaign of disruption on February 14, 2022, there have been over 2,350 arrests.
