India plays important leadership role in G20: Argentina

As the president of G20, India is playing an important leadership role in advancing the agenda of the Global South or Asia, Africa, South America and Oceania region, Argentina’s ambassador to the country, Hugo Javier Gobi, believes. He said this while attending the Holi festival at the invitation of Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi in Delhi on Monday. In an interview to ANI, he said that Argentina has greatly supported India’s leadership as the president of the G20. Holi festival is a great event. They are excited to participate in it with the Indians. Other diplomats from Greece and Argentina also participated in the festival. Ambassador of Greece Dimitrios Iwanou described Holi as a great festival, saying it was the first experience of his life. He expressed the hope that the life of the Indian people will be prosperous. In response to a question, the Greek diplomat said, “India’s presidency of the G20 is very prestigious. I am sure, they will be able to achieve their goals.” Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi said, G20 is going on and everyone is looking towards India to solve some critical issues. Videos of foreign diplomats celebrating Holi in India have gone viral on social media. They were seen dancing to Bollywood songs there.
