Friday is usually the film release day. Bad news came that morning. One of the famous Bengali directors of Bollywood, Pradeep Sarkar, has passed away. Director Hansal Mehta first announced this news on Twitter. On the social media page, the director wrote, “Pradeep Sarkar Dada, I wish your soul peace.”

After the demise of ‘Parineeta’ famed director, producer Deepak Mukul pays tribute to him. Deepak said that Pradeep Sarkar had worked on a film based on the life of Bollywood actress Priya Rajvansh of the sixties and seventies. This film named ‘Priya Interrupted’ was his dream project. Pradeep Sarkar was drowned in the work of this film. According to Deepak Mukul, the shooting of the film was supposed to start this year. Pradeep even completed the story, costumes and set planning of the film. “He left everything before the shooting started,” says Deepak in a sad tone.

Priya Rajvansh made her Bollywood debut in 1964 in the film ‘Hakikat’. While studying in London, a picture of him reached a then Bollywood star. After that, Priya’s Bollywood life started. Priya was in a lifelong relationship with Bollywood legend Dev Anand’s grandfather Chetan Anand after his divorce. Lived in Chetan Anand’s bungalow near Ruia Park in Juhu. Chetan Anand and Priya Rajvansh never got married as they were not legally separated from their ex-wife. However, after falling in love with Chetan Anand, Priya acted only in his films. Priya also acted with Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini in ‘Kudrat’. Priya Rajvansh was murdered by Chetan Anand’s two sons Ketan Anand and Vivek Anand in 2000.
