The latest absurdist turn in the border disaster? “Smuggling influencers.”

Yes, you read that right: Cross-border people-smugglers for hire, called coyotes, have taken to TikTok and YouTube to strut their stuff and snag business.

They’re expertly wielding tech, using hashtag codes to geo-target potential customers, sharing info on Customs and Border Patrol movements and pumping out promotional videos boasting images of happy, excited migrants rushing to a new life here.

Prospective customers can also sign up via the platforms (as long as they have the $10,000-plus coyotes usually demand, of course). 

It gives the lie, utterly, to the ironclad narrative on the left that these millions of illegal migrants are “asylum seekers” — people fleeing oppression for freedom.

No, these are economic migrants seeking opportunity, which would be fine if they waited in line.

Instead, they’re flooding in lawlessly, crushing border towns and straining even Gotham’s human-services capacities.

All because national Democrats, from President Joe Biden on down, are colluding with lefty activists across the nonprofit-media industrial complex to make an utter mockery of our immigration laws.

To see how this plays out, consider the videos produced by one border influencer, SoyXulen: They put on a cheery tone, showing an adorable boy flashing a grin and thumbs-up after a successful crossing and a man being welcomed to the United States with balloons.

Or the fact that illegal migrants to Gotham (which has seen 74,000-plus arrivals) are getting enough city freebies to save up sufficient funds to bring friends and family here.

The message is clearly: Look, the door’s wide open! Let’s make the most of this!

How many are sending happy-talk texts and Instagram posts, waving their friends on as Dems and their allies cheer and hand out material aid?

Set aside for the moment the fact that coyotes, on TikTok or not, are dangerous, cartel-linked criminals who regularly kill or abandon their customers, like the 53 migrants who suffocated outside San Antonio, left locked in a tractor-trailer to die in sweltering summer weather. 

Dems denounced ex-prez Donald Trump’s largely successful border policies as too cruel, fine — but do they really expect anyone to believe this absurdity is the only alternative?

Coyotes now have the confidence to flaunt their caught-on-film human trafficking on the internet.

They know the Bidenite claims to want to control the border are pure pretense.

Look: Every day the border remains open puts money in the hands of small-time criminals and the big fish they work for, floods the country with people in need of jobs, housing, schooling, food and medical care and makes a mockery of US sovereignty. 

“Coyote influencers” and all the other lunacy are only too real.

The actual joke is on the American people.
