Bigot spray-paints anti-Asian message on gate of NYC liquor store: cops

Cops are looking for a bigot who spray-painted an anti-Asian statement on the front gate of a liquor and wine store in Queens.

The ugly incident occurred April 19 at around 10:45 p.m., police said.

The suspect exited the A train at the Far Rockaway and Mott Avenue station and walked to the bus stop at the corner of Mott Avenue and Beach Channel Drive, cops said.

While waiting for the bus, he approached a liquor and wine store located at 21-35 Mott Ave. and spray-painted the anti-Asian statement on the front gate, police said.

When the bus arrived at the stop, the suspect boarded and left the scene. The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.

The suspect, described as a man with a medium complexion, a medium build and hair on his chin, was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a white hooded sweatshirt with black designs, white sweatpants and white sneakers. He was carrying a black backpack.

The NYPD released surveillance photos of the wanted individual that were obtained from the Far Rockaway and Mott Avenue station before he vandalized the gate.
