Alleged Highland Park parade shooter appears in court

Good afternoon, Chicago.

A trial date for alleged Highland Park mass shooter Robert Crimo III will be set at his next court date, the judge presiding over the case said today. Crimo appeared for a case management conference in Lake County court Monday, which lasted only about three minutes.

Assistant State’s Attorney Ben Dillon told the judge that the voluminous discovery in the July 4, 2022, parade shooting should be concluded in the coming weeks, and is expected to be wrapped up by the next court date.
