Shraddha murder case update: There has been a major revelation in Shraddha Walker murder case on Tuesday (7th January). The accused Aftab Poonawala, while telling the story of the murder, had confessed everything before the police. Saws, hammers and knives were used to cut up the bodies

Aftab is accused of choking his partner to death in May 2022 in the Mehrauli area. After the alleged strangulation, he allegedly cut the deceased’s body into 35 pieces. According to the charge sheet, Aftab planned to dispose of Shraddha’s body in a plastic bag but abandoned the plan thinking he would be arrested soon. He then dismembered the body with a saw, hammer and knife. Then he put the body parts in the refrigerator. It was also stated in the indictment that Aftab Poonawalla also threw away Shraddha’s cellphone in Mumbai, Maharashtra to divert the attention of the police.

The accused awaits sentencing in Tihar

Aftab Poonawalla and Shraddha Walker moved back to Delhi in May 2020. The 6,629-page indictment stated that Aftab Poonawalla and Shraddha Walker were to travel to Mumbai on 18 May, but Aftab’s ticket was canceled after an altercation over expenses and alleged boyfriends. The pair quarreled shortly after over the fee, after which, in a fit of rage, Aftab strangled Walker. After this case was revealed, the police arrested Aftab. Currently the accused Aftab is awaiting his sentence in Delhi’s Tihar Jail.
