21 Andaman and Nicobar islands will be renamed the winner of the Param Vir Chakra

India News, Delhi (Chakra Paramveer): The Prime Minister will participate in the naming of the 21 largest islands in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands via video conference on January 23. These Andaman and Nicobar islands will be named after the 21 winners of the Param Vir Chakra. In fact, on the occasion of Parakram Divas celebrated in memory of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the 21 nameless islands of Andaman and Nicobar will be named after the 21 Param Vir Chakra bestowed upon the martyrs, first of all the name of the largest nameless island is that of Vir Chakra conferring Major Somnath Sharma. Following this, the second largest island will be named after the second recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, Karam Singh.
