It is the month of December, usually, we wrap up the year talking about Hits and misses that happen in the current year. We decided to talk about future releases next year and to see why there is hype for some films, positive or negative. Most of the movies we talk about have their dates or months announced so you can mark the days around the releases. We will also be talking about projects which got us excited, and are to be released in 2023 but no specific release dates have been announced.

Pathan 

When releasing: 25th January

If it’s being the fourth film in Yash-Raj Spyverse, after Ek Tha Tiger (2012); Tiger Zinda Hai, and War (2019)doesn’t get you excited about this release, then it being the first movie featuring .Shah Rukh Khan after a long break might get you excited. This film will be an action-packed adventure of an undercover cop on a mission to take down the drug lords in Middle-East Asia! Cinegoers also have expectations from director Siddharth Anand who has given entertaining action films like Bang Bang and War. Producer and Distributor Yash Raj Films are planning a Pan-Indian release on 25th January in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

 

Rocky aur Raani Ki Prem Kahani

When releasing: 28 April

Despite being constantly under scrutiny, Karan Johar is back in the director seat to make Rocky aur Raani Ki Prem Kahani. Not much has been revealed about the storyline but its star cast and their respective fandoms have managed to create a buzz for the film. The star cast includes Ranveer Singh as Rocky and Alia Bhatt as Rani, while Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Arjun Bijlani are in the supporting roles. Considering the star cast, it is more likely to be a family dramedy, but that would be clear once the trailer or teaser launches. The previous date of its release was 10 February but not it is confirmed to 28th April 2023.

 

Jawan 

When releasing: 2nd June

It is rare to see Bollywood and the South Indian film industry working together and now Jawan might be the one film that would set a good example for it. Considering the star cast like Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and Yogi Babu and the much-raved teaser release, it is clear the film would like to go well with the masses. Although not much is revealed about the film itself, it would be an action-packed battle between a man and the system that wronged him.

 

Animal

When releasing: 11 August

Besides the unusual but talented star cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandhana, and Parineeti Chopra, Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga packed a violent action packed Gangster drama in this film. It would be a story about a powerful man’s descent toward violent madness.

 

Tiger 3

When releasing: In November month

The fourth film in Yash Raj’s Spy-verse, would be about Tiger and Zoya and their adventure! Although Yash Raj films kept all info about it under wrap, they revealed other cast and possible cameos. Besides Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif other cast members includes Ranvir Shorey is back reprising the role of Gopi, Emraan Hashmi would be the villain, and Ashutosh Rana also. And since it is part of Spy Universe, Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo is confirmed, but will Kabir from War be returned for a cameo, not sure!

 

Sam Bahadur

When Releasing: 1st December

This movie is ‘anticipated’ in a literal sense! Finally, we get to see the Heroic life journey of late Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, one of the most decorated officers in the country. The anticipation grew more when the audience gets to see Vicky Kaushal’s performance in Sardaar Uddham, plus Meghna Gulzar would be directing this film. Other cast members include Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Saqib Ayub.

 

Dunki

When releasing: In December Month

Director Rajkumar Hirani has a brilliant track record of giving successful mass entertainer films with a unique take on life. And you add that brand of entertainment with Shah Rukh Khan, you have more certainty of this film being Paisa-vasool entertainer. This film will be Raju Hirani’s comic take on Donky flights, just Google it later after reading this article because with this premise you will also be curious to see this film. 

 

And Now, films that are confirmed to be arriving in 2023 but no dates are confirmed!

Fighter:

For those who wished to see Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone together in an action film is completed. The film is said to be the Ariel Action Drama. And what else do we need? The film will most likely be arriving in theatres in late 2023.

 

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan:

The list would feel incomplete if we didn’t have an Akshay Kumar Movie! And it would be the first time Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff would be cast together in an action film. The film would be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who also has a great track record of hit action films like Gundey, Bharat, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai.
